DISCLAIMER: this is nothing more but a work of fiction based on the online game Perfect World and on the Anime Lucky Star, specifically on the character Konata Izumi. All the names and places stated here are made-up. Any relation to persons, places and events in real life is coincidental(but hey there's no such thing as coincidence, only inevitability, 'ne? )

THE (mis)ADVENTURES OF KONATA IZUMI!

DAY 1: Installing the game.

Konata Izumi is an 18 year old girl with an exceptional love for Online and Video Games. one day while going to school, her Teacher(who is also Konata's partymate in some of the online games they play together), Kuroi-sensei approached her while Konata is hanging out along the school corridors.

Konata: Konnichiwa, Sensei!
Kuroi-Sensei: Konnichiwa, Kona-chan! Guess what, I have a new game here for you!
Konata: Really? Wait a minute, are you saying you're giving up on the current one you have?
Kuroi-sensei: Of course not! I'll just pop-up once in a while that's all..
Konata: Right... I still remember the last few games we've been.
Kuroi-Sensei: Oh Come on! just try the game already!
Konata: (bell rings)Alright alright. I'm gonna be late for class anyway.
Kuroi-sensei: Same here.. (gives cd to konata) See ya later then.
Konata: Yeah... Sayonara desu

Later that night, Konata finally opened her pc and examined the cd that Kuroi-sensei gave her.

Konata: hmmm.. Perfect World, eh? The game is made from China though... But what the hey, an online game is an online game.

Konata places the cd inside the disc drive. Then started installing the game. 20 minutes later

Konata: This is gonna be exciting!

40 minutes later...

Konata: I can't wait...

1 hour later....

Konata: come on! go faster already!

2 hours later..

Konata: What the heck is wrong with this thing?! It doesnt move even a little bit! Curse this lame game!

Konata was about to throw the cd towards the wall, but then the phone rang. It was actually Kuroi-sensei...

Konata: Sensei.. the cd that you gave me-
Kuroi-sensei: It was bad? oh gomene for that... That was actually a installer for a LARGE game I was planning to install, but it was 6 hours before the installer moved on... Really ticked me off that time. Didnt realized that I switched the installers hehe... I'll give you the original copy tomorrow...
Konata: I understand.. (puts down the phone) Oh... Why oh why did you ever switched the cds?! Now I'm gonna wait until tomorrow to try this out!

Oh well, too bad Konata... Seems you wont be able to try out perfect world for a while.

DAY 2: A Plant that eats humans?!

The Next day, Konata and Kuroi-sensei met up right after the last class.

Kuroi-sensei: Sorry about the cd yesterday... I hope it didn't cause any trouble..
Konata: It's alright. I'm just hoping the cd you'll give me is right this time. (... I'm still angry about that freaking cd... I wanna whack some monsters after this! >_<)
Kuroi-sensei: Alright. Here ya go.
Konata: (examines cd) Oh thank goodness it's the right one.
Kuroi-sensei: Hehe.. better hurry up with those levels then. I'm turning lvl 30 now and sooner or later Imma pwn your butt!
Konata: Right Right.. But you know me. I have ways of making my character strong.
Kuroi-sensei: Like what? Not doing your homework just to play? Ha! I know your moves Konata. Don't try to fool around with a teacher.
Konata: We'll see. (winks) Alright, Gotta go.
Kuroi-sensei: See ya in-game then.

That night...

Konata: Finally, the setup is just quick, now all I need to do now is play!

Konata was finally able to enter the game of perfect world, she decides to make a Fa Shih named KonaKona(her IGN in most online games) And so, her adventure begins(lol finally)

Voice: Welcome to perfect world!
KonaKona: Who is that?! Where is that voice coming from?!
Voice: i'll be your guide towards the path to immortality!
KonaKona: No thanks, I can do it on my own.
Voice: What?
KonaKona: How do I move my character? Like this(does exotic dancing)
Voice: WADAHECK?! That's not how you move your character, noob!
KonaKona: Who you calling noob, noob?!
Voice: YOU DARE CALL ME A NOOB??! Why I outta...
Innkeeper: Anyway... Perhaps killing a few man-eater blossoms(forgot the name of that plant that trips around pencheng inn though XD) should make you more acquainted with the game.
KonaKona: sure sure.

Soon, KonaKona found herself a huge man-eater blossom. the huge plant was suddenly moving towards her, and she started her attack.

KonaKona: eat this! Brand of Fire
Man-Eater Blossom: OUCH! That hurts!
KonaKona: you... YOU CAN TALK?!
Man-Eater Blossom: Not all plants can talk lol, LURK MOAR.
KonaKona: Right.. But you'll end up being ash anyway so. SAYONARA, ******!!!!
Man-Eater Blossom: Hey, you gotta listen to me first, wait, wait! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

KonaKona killed the blossom without any mercy.

KonaKona: oops running out of time... I gotta talk to Kagami about our assignments.

Konata logged out and prepared to copy Kagami's homework for the next school day.

DAY 3: Konata and the GM(AND ZOMG HE'S A HOTTIE!!!! XD )

A few days later, Konata returned home with a pack of level up cards and started loading up.

Konata: hihihihi I wonder what's good on the item mall now... Must load up account...

Soon, she scratched up all the cards and entered them one by one. but for some strange reason, the website does not recognize the cards.

Konata: What the?! What's wrong with the site?!

She tried again and again and again. Finally she was really upset.

Konata: WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?! what's wrong with this service?!

In a fit of rage she was about to grab the keyboard and throw it on the wall, but then she saw that the caps lock button was actually off.

Konata: Great. All that rage because the caps lock is off.. >_> Oh well. Better start playing.

Konata started playing and was travelling across the fields outside sword city. Suddenly she bumped into someone.

KonaKona: Ouch! Hey watch it you! You can't just bump into someone like that.
Voice: Excuse me? You know, you gotta fix yer manners for once, you know..

Soon, KonaKona looked at the guy and saw that the person was actually a GM, who goes by the name of Asche(Ascending Heaven, but I'll just use his boards name of course and btw, he looks hot. XD )

Asche: I'm deeply saddened that even the newbies don't know who their GMs are nowadays..
KonaKona: OMG, you're a GM?! It's a pleasure to meet you! I apologize for my rudeness...
Asche: It's fine. I've been seeing things like this lately.
KonaKona: You mean rude players?
Asche: Yep. Both new and old players that is. But hey... It's part of my job to keep the peace here. Should they try and do something ******, I'll just bring swift Justice to them.
KonaKona: Hey, isn't that every GM's Job?
Asche: Yeah. Although we get to play as well, we have responsibilities in our hands.
KonaKona: Oh I see... Oh, your character looks so handsome!
Asche: Err.. Thanks.. ^^ Oh wait.. I must leave. I gotta check out the other parts of the realm.
KonaKona: Oh, I apologize.
Asche: No need to do so. It's good that I'm able to interact with players.. See You around then..
KonaKona: See you around.

Asche left, a few seconds later Kuroi-sensei, her IGN being Nanakon, went online.

Nanakon: Heya Kona-chan.
KonaKona: Sensei! Sensei! A GM talked to me!
Nanakon: Really now?! How was he like?
KonaKona: He's character looks handsome and he's really cool too! I wanna date him so badly!
Nanakon: oh Really?! I wanna meet him for myself!
KonaKona: ZOMG he's like so hot that you're gonna faint when you're gonna see him!

And so, KonaKona and Nanakon spent the rest of the night chatting about how handsome and charming GM Asche is.

DAY 4: OWNED?!(Part 1)

the next day, Konata went inside the classroom and met her Friends Tsukasa and Miyuki

Konata: Ohayo, Tsukasa-san, Miyuki-san.
Miyuki: Ohayo gozaimasu, Kona-chan
Tsukasa: Hello, Kona-chan!
Konata: Kuroi-sensei just gave me a very good online game!
Tsukasa: Really? What's it like?
Konata: Characters looks beautiful and the scenery is quite stunning! Everything is great!
Miyuki: Sounds interesting, do you have the cd?
Konata: Yes. I was able to burn at most 3 copies. Tsukasa, will you invite your sister Kagami to play as well?
Tsukasa: Of course. She plays what I play. ^^
Konata: That's because you're twins. hihi.
Tsukasa: Well... That's not what I meant...
Miyuki: Oh so this game is based on Ancient China eh? This should be really interesting to play.
Konata: Yeah. Oh class is about to start, we gotta get ready!

After classes, Konata, Tsukasa and Miyuki returned to their homes and played the game. A few hours later, they gained enough levels and is about to face stronger monsters. Because of this, they met at the Logging Shed. (Tsukasa's IGN is Hiichan and Miyuki's IGN is Yukichan)

Yukichan: so, where should we go next?
Hiichan: I don't know... Although I heard some players talking about a certain"fire grotto" though.
KonaKona: Fire Grotto? I got a token to kill the boss there!
Hiichan: Wow, wanna go now?
Yukichan: That's a great Idea!
KonaKona: Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go!

Soon, they went inside the Fire Grotto. After they gave the token to the npc inside, they started their quest. At first, the monsters that are inside the dungeon were relatively easy, but as they pass through the halls, the monsters get more and more aggressive and soon they find themselves surrounded...

Hiichan: Kona-chan what should we do?!
Yukichan: I've never expected that we'd be in a predicament like this!
KonaKona: And Nanakon isn't online either...
Hiichan: So this is it then?
KonaKona: Well, I won't give up without a fight!

Well well... What will happen next? Will Kona-chan and her friends suffer thier first defeat?

DAY 4: OWNED?! (Part 2)

Konata and friends are trapped in a serious predicament! surrounded by hundreds of monsters inside the fire Grotto. They are about to be killed for the first time...

KonaKona: Well, this is it then! Our very first death!
Hiichan: I don't want my character to die young!
Yukichan: Hey, we get to respawn again, right?
Hiichan: Yeah.. But I heard you will lose experience points once you die...
Yukichan: I don't want to die just yet!!!
KonaKona: Well, there's no turning back now!

The monsters are about to attack the party when all of a sudden, a flash of light appeared. and in a blink of an eye, the monsters are all gone. The light faded and a familiar face showed up.

Asche: My My... Seems that the monsters here are a bit too buffed.
KonaKona: ZOMG It's GM Asche! *heart races faster then light*
Hiichan: GM Asche?
Yukichan: He must be a Game Moderator. They can summon/erase monsters, ban inworthy players and keep the peace and order around these parts.
Hiichan: How do you know that?
Yukichan: I read the online FAQs first before I play ^^
Asche: Well well, we meet again Kona-chan. You do realize that some of the monsters here at the Fire Grotto are bugged.
KonaKona: Yeah.. But wee need to finish a certain quest..
Asche: Well, the quest can wait until the next server maintenance of course. By the way, who are your friends?
KonaKona: Oh, they're Yukichan and Hiichan. They're classmates of mine.
Asche: Oh I see. Well, perfect world is designed to promote teamwork among partymates and clanmates. Hopefully you'll be able to form your own guild and invite all your classmates to join you guys and play!
Hiichan: Hopefully, but you know us students...
Yukichan: Yeah.. We're always busy with studies and stuff..
Asche: Good Point. Wait, why are wasting time here? We gotta get outta here.

Soon, KonaKona, Asche and the others went out of the fire Grotto and returned to the outside.

Asche: Well, you guys learned your lesson now right?
KonaKona: Yep. never go inside a bugged dungeon.
Asche: Good. Well, See you around then.
Hiichan: Farewell, sir Asche!
Yukichan: Farewell!
KonaKona: See you later!

With that, Asche left. Soon, the girls started talking to each other.

KonaKona: What I hell you? Asche is a complete hottie!
Yukichan: No way! He's like the hottest person that I've seen in this game, ever!
Hiichan: ummm... Not Only does he look cool, he's charming and kind as well!
KonaKona: Hehe.. Well, let's just say Asche has some sort of charm towards us girls...
Hiichan: Oh my! It's almost bedtime!
KonaKona: hehe Same here...
Yukichan: Shall we call it a day?
KonaKona: Lets.

They all logged off and went back to sleep. The next day..

Konata: Kagami-san!
Kagami: What is it, Kona-chan?
Konata: Can I copy some of your homework? I forgot to do mine yesterday.
Kagami: When will you ever learn that you need to do your homework first before playing... You're much like Tsukasa only worse!
Konata: hihihihi yeah yeah. But less talk and more homework, alright?
Kagami: *sighs* fine.

And so, Kagami ends up letting Konata copy her homework. XD

DAY 5: Kagami Plays(SAY WHAT?! I thought Kagami doesn't play Online Games XD)

A few nights later, Kagami sees Tsukasa playing perfect world on her pc. Out of sheer curiousity she approached her twin.

Kagami: What are you doing, Tsukasa?
Tsukasa: I'm playing this game that Konata gave me.
Kagami: (Oh Konata you (censored)! Why are you even influencing my sister to play?!) Really now? What's the name?
Tsukasa: Perfect World. It's an Online game.
Kagami: Really now? how is it like?
Tsukasa: It's really Sugoi! the characters are so Kawaii that I can't really decide on how should I customize her!
Kagami: What about game play?
Tsukasa: There are so many quests! I think I won't be able to finish them all!
Kagami: *groans* You know, there are better things to do than that you know. What about your homework?
Tsukasa: Oh my! My homework! my homework!
Kagami: Let's just starting working then.

Kagami and Tsukasa worked through the night for Tsukasa'a homework. the next day, Kagami, enraged by the fact that Konata influenced her sister, came up to Konata:

Kagami: JUST WHAT THE HECK DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!
Konata: Nanidesuka?
Kagami: Tsukasa! Tsukasa! you made her play that online game!
Konata: Kagamin... You know that's what Tsukasa wants, right? So I gave her the cd!
Kagami: *sighs* don't have something better to do aside from Games?
Konata: Here's the thing. I have a challenge for you. Play the game for at least 3 days. If you own;bt addicted by then(and i doubt you wouldn't), you treat me out for some ice cream. otherwise, I'll treat you.
Kagami: Deal.

That night, Kagami borrowed Tsukasa's cd and installed the game. Then she created an account and started playing(her IGN is Kagamin)

Kagamin: This game looks a bit interesting... What should I do next?

A few minutes later, she was seen killing monsters with relative ease (she's a Wu Xia btw XD)

Kagamin: Wahahahaha!!!! Take this! And That! You're gonna get owned hahaha!!! DIE DIE DIE!!!!!

The noise Kagamin was making in the game was so loud tht I got the attention of [GM]Asche, who was doing his patrol for the night. He approached the trigger-happy character.

Asche: Woah woah woah, you're doing too much noise there.
Kagamin; Outta my way you! Can't you see I'm trying to kill and kill and kill?1
Asche: hold it, what's with the rage?!
Kagamin: I said out of my way! You're getting in my way you (censored)
Asche: You know, you shouldn't have done that?
Kagamin: How come? i have my rights after all.
Asche: You'll see....

the next day, Konata saw Kagami, looking a bit stressed out..

Kagami: Konata, I can't speak in-game!
Konata: Maybe you did something wrong, I saw your name in the "imperial bastille" of the message boards. See here:
Kagamin - Dragon - Cursing, Swearing, or Use of foul Language - chat Ban: 3 day good thing it was just a chat ban. you would've been owned if you get banned.
Kagami: you mean, that guy named Asche is a Game Moderator?
Konata: Yep. And you ended up on the short end of the stick. Now when will you treat me for some ice cream.
Kagami: ho-ho-hold on! I haven't played for 3 days yet!
Konata: Right... but i talked to Asche last night, he told me about you and you really "enjoyed" the game..
Kagami: I... fine.

So, Kagami treated Konata and her friends for some Ice cream on the nearby ice cream parlor XD

DAY 6: Serious Business

A few days later, Konata, her friends and Kuroi-sensei went as a party and started slaying monsters. As they slaughtered monster after monster for their quests, Konata asked something to her partymates.

KonaKona: Hey guys, I have a question.
Nanakon: What is it?
Kagamin: Yeah, what's it about?
KonaKona: This game is about ancient China, right?
Yukichan: Well, basically yes.
Hiichan: Well yeah... At least that's what the description says...
KonaKona: Do you think that we'll be able to see some in game?
Nanakon: Probably... Although... They might not be those Snake-type Dragons made in Chinese Mythology.
Yukichan: What do you mean? You don't really mean that they'll use western Dragons instead the Chinese Ones...
Nanakon: Maybe.. I saw in the screenshots that when you're flying, you might encounter those kinds of Dragons...
Hiichan: As in the western dragons?
Nanakon: Yeah...
KonaKona: Hey Hey... Perhaps those dragons left when the Western Dragons came out from nowhere! Those Winged beasts scared most of the Chinese Dragons away and Killed the remaining ones! Then there came and epic battle between the remaining Chinese Dragons and the Western Dragons where in the Chinese Dragons lost and left the realm, never to return! Then, those Western Dragons ruled the skies and no one dared to fly since...

Silence ensued...

Kagamin: Hey.. That's a bit too unrealistic you know...
KonaKona: Hey, this is an online game based on fantasy. Anything can happen.
Kagamin: Hmpf. You and your worlds.
Yukichan: Well anyway, I heard you tried to solo Pao Chi the other day, Kona-chan
KonaKona: Yeah, it was truly an epic battle, as in Pao Chi was fierce and he was trying to push me away, but then I said, "Hey you! You trying to pick a fight?!" I was like spending lots of pots and really beat the living heck out of him. In the end the monster just gave up.
Hiichan: Actually I was there as well, and we only stayed on top of the tents and attacked the monster from there.
KonaKona: Shhh... Don't tell them the truth.
Kagamin: Regardless, Still that boss should be stronger than you think.
KonaKona: Not really, it was really easy to outsmart that thing. hihi.
Nanakon: Well, at least you killed a strong boss. When I did that, It took me 6 tries before killing that thing.
Hiichan: Really?! Thank goodness we're in a party then...
Kagamin: Yeah... Speaking of which parties are good when finishing quests in a rush right?
Yukichan: Basically yes. As far as I know, parties are quite effective in finishing quests and bosses easily.
Hiichan: I'm feeling the effects of it now! It's really much faster to get what you need when you're in a party...
KonaKona: Yeah.. But.. Oh no... Look a horde of monsters is coming upon us! We gotta get outta here!
Kagamin: What?! OMG You're right, they're too many, we gotta run!

But they're too late. By the time they started running the monsters attacked them. In the end, they all died and respawned north of Dragon City.

KonaKona: Note to self: Do not talk about stuff when a huge horde of monsters are coming towards your location... Ugh... X_X
